Chateau L’Ermitage Auzan Blanc

TASTING NOTES Aromas of fresh white fruits: peaches, pears, litchis and white flowers pollen. The Grenache provides the richness and the Roussanne the balancing acidity. DESCRIPTION A lovely clean and rounded southern Rhone white. The vineyards in the Costières de Nîmes area close to the Mediterranean from where this wine comes benefit from extensive sunshine and the cooling maritme effect of being near the sea. This really fruity and tasty wine is made with 60% Roussane giving some depth and complexity while the 20% Grenache Blanc adds richness and a rounded mouthfeel. It's a highly versatile wine and a great intro into whites of this region. A lovely aperitif but also matches well with asparagus grilled fish and chicken in a creamy sauce.
