The Japanese love their thick, American-style hot cakes, and with cake mixes like this it is easy to see why! A Japanese favourite, Showa’s hot cake (or pancake) mix is a perfect blend of dry ingredients for creating thick, fluffy hot cakes every time. Just add an egg and a little milk and you are in business.

Ingredients

Soft Wheat Flour, Sugar, Glucose, Salt, Powdered Starch Syrup, Baking Powder, Flavour, Colors (#101(I) )

Instructions For Use

• Add 1 egg and 100ml milk (or water) in a bowl and whisk thoroughly. Add half the packet of hot cake mix and whisk until smooth.• Heat a frying pan over a medium heat, place on top of a damp cloth to cool a little, then add 1/3 of the pancake mix.• Heat on a low flame for about 3 mins till bubbles form on the top. Flip the pancake and cook for a further 3 minutes until brown on both sides and slide onto a plate. Repeat twice more with the rest of the batter, turn off the heat, and enjoy!

Storage Instructions

Store in a dry, cool place
