Schieferkopf Riesling Trocken Sec (750ml)

This dry riesling proves that M Chapoutier is talanted in all and can successfully work with any given grape variety or terroir. Being one of the most famous winemaker in the Rhone valley and Southern France, he brings professionalism to his wines in Provence and Languedoc, as well as Germany and Australia. The grapes for Schieferkopf Riesling Trocken Sec were picked from vineyards with predominantly granitic and arkose sandy soils with Granitic subsoil. The harvest and sorting is carried out by hand after which the grapes undergo a direct pressing without destemming (with the use of pneumatic press) followed by a cold static settling. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel vats (16-20°C). Finally the wine is aged in stainless steel vats on the fine lees for 12 months. As with all Chapoutier’s wines, the label also features a description in Braille.
