In Vietnam or Southeast Asian countries, there is basically recycling capacity, the problem lies in the collection stage when most recycling factories do not have enough bottle scrap. We have billions of plastic bottles that go uncollected every year. This is the real "bottleneck" of the industry, not recycling capacity but collection capacity.
Annam Gourmet with the goal of reducing plastic waste consumed in Vietnam, we are a collection point and a touch point with customers. Annam Gourmet launched its first plastic bottle collection project with Botol machines last October. We expect to have a total of 45 Botol machines in Ho Chi Minh City and aim to expand in more provinces such as Hanoi or Da Nang. Botol helps customers smartly dispose of unused plastic/glass bottles at their home and also receive bonus points. Here are the steps you can take:
1. Collect plastic bottles/aluminum cans to the nearest Annam Gourmet branch.
2. Put plastic bottles/aluminum cans into the Botol machine according to the instructions on the machine.
3. Botol machine will automatically crush plastic bottles/aluminum cans and classify them. Then, the scrap will be taken directly to the recycling plant.
4. Finally, customers will participate in a lucky spin to win vouchers to continue shopping.
