The most famous of French cheeses, Camembert de Normandie AOP is ladle-molded. Its flowery rind is white, downy. The paste is of a light yellow color which reveals odors of soil, a powerful bouquet accompanied by a small salty hint when it is ripened to the heart.

The Camembert de Normandie is a soft-ripened, bloomy rind cheese made with raw cow’s milk, principally of the Normande breed of cattle. It is hand-molded with a ladle and matured for at least three weeks. It was developed in 1791 by Marie Harel, a farmer from the town of Camembert. It is a mould ripened cheese with white rind, yellow paste and a creamy texture. It has a powerful taste with intense earthy and mushroom flavours.

Use as appetizer or main course, with bread, pasta, salad or other dishes
Store in the refrigerator at 4-8°C, keep refrigerated after opening.
